Coast Guard Auxiliary
Established by congress in 1939, the Coast Guard Auxiliary conducts vessel safety checks, harbor patrols, safe boating courses, search and rescue and marine environmental protection.
 
America’s Great Loop Cruisers’ Association
An association of boaters who have cruised or dream of cruising any or all of America’s Great Loop and the side trips off the Loop.

Connecticut:


Founded in 1955 by sailing enthusiast Richard Gordon McCloskv to record, encourage, and support long distance passages in small boats. In pursuit of these goals it has become an international association of people of similar interests.

Mystic River Mudhead Sailing Association
Our Mudhead mission is to promote camaraderie and fun among members by encouraging competitive sailing, managing quality races, fostering member participation in racing at all levels, and hosting memorable social events."
  Shennecosset Yacht Club
SYC is an active cruising club whose members have ventured south to Florida, Bahamas, Bermuda, the Caribbean, Venezuela and even the Pacific.
  Thames Yacht Club
TYC is a friendly, informal yacht club with a wide range of activities including sailboat racing, cruising, junior sailing instruction and social events.
 
The oldest active Yacht Club in Connecticut.

Buffalo Yacht Club
On the eastern shore of Lake Erie, at the mouth of the mighty Niagara River, sits the Buffalo Yacht Club, said to be the 3rd oldest yacht club in America, being formed in 1860.
