PRODUCTION COORDINATOR
Soundings Publications is currently seeking a
Production Coordinator (Full Time) who will be
responsible for the designing, processing, and archiving
all advertisements for four monthly magazines.
Duties may Include:
• Assisting the Production Managers in daily production
tasks.
• Designing Ads from raw files and scanning or digitally
resizing photos.
• Opening electronic files submitted by advertisers.
• Quality-checking each ad for size and resolution
requirements.
• Turning native files into high-resolution PDF images.
• Archiving issues and maintaining digital files.
Requirements:
• 4-year degree and some experience in design, prepress,
or publishing environment.
• Computer skills must include proficiency in all
Macintosh design programs:
Adobe Creative Suite and Quark. Web Design knowledge a
plus.
• Must have knowledge of pre-press process to provide
printers with complete files that have been pre-flighted
for final image output.
• Must be able to work with a team and have good problem
solving skills. Leadership skills a plus.
